Yes, absolutely. Many of our clients are new to Pilates. At Winsome Pilates, our sessions are beginner-friendly and guided step by step. Your instructor will use posture and movement assessment to better understand your body, comfort level, and goals, then guide you through personalized Pilates exercises.
During your Trial Session, we begin with a posture and movement assessment to understand which areas may need more support. We’ll also have a short conversation about your goals, body condition, and any concerns. After that, your instructor will guide you through personalized Pilates exercises. Based on your trial, we’ll recommend how 1:1 or 2:1 sessions can support your progress moving forward.
If you’re not sure, we recommend starting with a Trial Session. A 1:1 session is best for clients who want more detailed, personalized guidance. A 2:1 session is a great option if you would like to start with a friend, partner, or family member in a private setting. After your trial, we’ll help you choose the best option based on your body and goals.
2:1 Trials are arranged by email, DM, or contact form. When you contact us, please include both clients’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, and preferred days/times. This helps us find a schedule that works best for both clients.
Yes. Many clients come to us because they want a more private, careful, and posture-focused approach to movement. If you have any stiffness, discomfort, or concerns, please let us know before your session so your instructor can guide you safely within your comfort level.
No experience is needed. We’ll meet you where you are and guide you step by step based on your current body condition and goals.
Yes. We offer personalized prenatal and postnatal Pilates sessions. These sessions focus on safe movement, posture support, breathing, mobility, and gentle strengthening. Please contact us before booking so we can better understand your pregnancy stage, postpartum stage, and individual needs.
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Grip socks are recommended for safety and comfort during your session.
Winsome Pilates is located about 1 minute from Metrotown Station. Our address is #305 – 4378 Beresford St, Burnaby, BC V5H 0H8. We offer 1:1 and 2:1 private Pilates sessions in a calm, clean, and welcoming studio space.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Last-minute changes can affect the instructor’s schedule and may prevent other clients, including those on our waitlist, from booking that time. To help us keep the schedule fair and smooth for everyone, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance for any changes.
